Previously a school counselor, Charisse Thompson is a mental health counselor with years of practice counseling children and adults in academic and clinical settings. Through her years as an educator and counselor, Charisse has extensive experience in and is passionate about treatment surrounding trauma, sexual identity, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. While she uses a combination of therapeutic styles, Charisse tailors her treatment to each client’s specific goals and needs. As a therapist, she is focused on assisting her clients on their journey towards self-understanding, acceptance, and love. By using an intersectional framework, Charisse is able to connect with clients in a way that honors their identities, is trauma-informed, and focuses on the elements of their relationships that need care and attention.
